I was born in Torrance, California, but have made my way through Canada, Hong Kong, and many places in between to arrive at my current residence in Bloomington, Indiana. I graduated from Indiana University in 2005 with a degree in Studio Arts — with a focus in graphic design.
My interest in design began early on in high-school when I first delved into the various design programs through a computer technologies class. At the time, we were given projects focusing on the use of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Publisher. As we designed CD covers, magazines, and advertisements I realized that I was truly having fun expressing myself through this technology. A career doing this would not be so bad.
As I moved on to Indiana University, I began taking graphic design classes which taught me the true beauty of communication through the combination of typography and image. During this time I contributed my design skills to a local children's science museum.
Currently I am a professional graphic designer working in equal parts web and print design. As I continue my professional career, I am ever constantly learning and continuing to grow creatively through my design work.
